Shrek: The Musical
In a land filled with fairytale creatures where donkeys and dragons find love, cookies can talk, monsters get the girls, and princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes, there lived an ogre named Shrek. Singing and dancing become the glue to friendships, the pride in being who you are, and reveals affinity and anger when words can't do justice. Shrek the Musical is the story of a hulking green ogre who, after being mocked and feared his entire life by anything that crosses his path, retreats to an ugly green swamp to exist in happy isolation. His precious solitude was suddenly shattered by an invasion of irksome fairy tale characters. Determined to save their home -- not to mention his -- Shrek cuts a deal with the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad and sets out to rescue Princess Fiona. On his journey he learns not to judge a book by its cover and that looks don't truly matter. Additionally, he learns the importance of friendship from his sassy and smart-mouthed friend, Donkey. After rescuing Princess Fiona, they find she isn't your typical princess; she is quirky, playful and undeniably friendly. Will this fairytale have a happy ending?
